Eff the Ineffable || Azuremyst US

Let us think the unthinkable, let us do the undoable, let us prepare to grapple with the ineffable itself, and see if we may not eff it after all.

I was following some quest threads in DragonBlight and had just finished trimming some undead mobs when I noticed an undead "npc" attacking some other npc's to my left. "Naturally", I thought to myself, "this must be some random rare character which would yield some nice uncommon or rare loot.."

Nope.....

I began "crisping" him (or her as the case may be) with my trusty Pyroblast -hoping for the imminent "hot-streak" to finish the 'toon off..

I soon realized that this was taking way too long and the health bar on the "npc" was barely moving.. It was then that realized that I had unknowingly flagged myself as PvP and the character I was hoping to "crisp" soon sent me to "wisp."

Again and again and again and again......

(I should have known when I right clicked and noticed that their level designation was ??? - I was 73 at the time)...

I finally managed to get away..

I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else??

I checked my character settings and PvP was disabled.. According some of the forums I read afterward, you can flag for PvP if you cast AoE over another player...

Time for a SLAY ride in the snows of Northrend....

Nymbol...

Oh yeah, you should really try running a Death Knight through the Wildhammer dailies in Twilight Highlands. Rough enough rolling as melee with full stacks of that drunken dwarven damage buff thing blurring the screen. It gets much worse when you realize that some Hordies flagged for PvP are running their dailies to kill the dwarves you're trying to assist and you need to be VERY careful with things like Death and Decay and Blood Boil. If nothing else, you will very quickly learn the precise diameter of your circular AOE abilities. :)

Oh, I bet that was fun!!

Yeah.. I'll be paying much closer attention to that in the future.. (at least until I am able to defend myself)...

Just wait until another player runs in front of you while you are trying to kill a target. That's how I usually end up getting ganked.

Oh, and even if your pvp is turned off, if you shoot someone from the Horde, you will be flagged.
