Fair warning if you happen to see this before I start, but I'll be upgrading our phpBB to a newer version tomorrow.

This means the site may have some hiccups and may go down some while I'm working on it.

Oh, and any suggestions for improvements / addons / tweaks / mods would be welcome while I'm in a upgrading sort of mood. Anything you miss from other far off forums that you wish we had here? I'm game for just about anything assuming it doesn't take hours to install...

It is a plug-in that allows for PHPBB to be used on their android/iphone apps.

There is a free version of the app that allows you to read the forums, but if you want remote posting privileges you need to buy the app which is I think $3.

I installed it on my old SWG's forums about a year ago I think and it has been fine the whole time. Takes all of 5 minutes to install IIRC, just a folder put in the forum directory and an edit to one file. Pretty easy stuff.

Ok, the update has finished, and we are now phpBB 3.0.9.

I tried to use tapatalk to see if it worked and I was getting an error. I'll wait a few hours (assuming they might have a database thing to update) and then try again and let you know the result.

I added the Tapatalk script to all 3 styles in use- wowmoonclaw, prosilver, subsilver. I don't know if makes much of a difference, but you might try one of the others from the phone.

I was using the tapatalk app and searching for ETI (spelled out) found what is us and that is where I get the error. This is before logging in for the first time or choosing a style or anything (tapatalk overwrites the forum style opting for a more mobile friendly theme)

Hmm. What's the error so I can look it up on their forums?

"Failed to connect to the forum, please check with the forum administrator if the problem continues."

At you have an android phone right? (or an iPhone) if so the app is free (basic version no posting) to download so you can test if you like.

The only free app on Android is Convo, and it doesn't seem to think I'm set up here correctly or something.

I did get the notification when I loaded our site that Tapatalk is installed and I could go to the market to purchase their $3 app.

Maybe it just takes time?

For what it's worth it fails for me too with the same aura, so it's not a gnoble-fails issue.
