Hello Effers! I'm poking around for a new casualish raiding home for my druid (Elennar) and Alas said I could come check you guys out. Orddu is my scouting toon into the guild, so if you see that name around....well, it's me. I thought I'd introduce myself.
This is me also:
http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/l ... r/advancedMy druid is mainspec balance and currently offspecced to resto. I like balance because I get to KILL ALL THE THINGS!! which I rather enjoy, especially when I get to kill them with mushrooms (Beth'tilac is my favorite fight right now, zipping around and killing the spiderlings is so much fun). I'm not quite as good in my resto spec. Sometimes not all the things get healed, but I'm working on that. HoTs are weird. I've also been thinking about getting together a feral spec of some sort, if that would be at all helpful. Yes, I'm currently playing Horde. When I started playing, that's where some friends were, and I've never managed to extricate myself. If it makes you feel any better, my very first toon ever, before I realized about my friends, was a night elf druid. Also, Garrosh is a twit. Not that there aren't also twits Alliance-side, but still. Twit.
In game, I'm mostly a PvE kind of player - I like raiding and instancing, don't mind teaching new players the ropes in LFD but I do mind the arseholes so I don't use it much. I also like achievement hunting, playing alts, and dorking around on the AH. I haven't done much PvP, but I'm kind of interested in seeing what it's all about. Especially if it means I get to Typhoon people off of cliffs, that sounds like fun.
Out of game, I'm a computational biologist and working on a Ph.D., which is the main reason I'm looking for a new guild - weeknight time commitments don't really work anymore. I like reading - mostly fantasy and a bit of science fiction, cooking, and I've been known to dabble in other video games as well. I keep coming back to WoW, but I'm not addicted, I swear...
Anyway, hi! Looking forward to getting to know you guys, and hopefully I can remember to not do anything scary or extra-weird (normal amounts of weird are par for the course, I'm afraid) until you've made up your minds already!

edit: Forgot to mention, but if you've got any questions/comments/concerns for me please feel free, either here or in-game.
