Eff the Ineffable || Azuremyst US

Let us think the unthinkable, let us do the undoable, let us prepare to grapple with the ineffable itself, and see if we may not eff it after all.

Is this a waste of time or is it worth pursuing.. I noted some nice trinkets but I'm guessing that I could probably get comparable (or closely comparable) items from grinding Heroics etc..

Thoughts?

... what he didn't like about heroes was that they were usually suicidally gloomy when sober and homicidally insane when drunk. There were too many of them, too.

When it first came out it was cool, now AFAIK you can get better items from the VP/JP vendor these days so the only thing it's useful for is the optional boss in ZG. I have been working on it on Furiel lately, but only as something to do while I wait in the dungeon queue and so when I leave WoW I can say I had completed it.

From a completely game mechanics-related way, it's not really necessary in any way to get the items from it.

From a lore perspective, there's a lot to learn from finding everything and getting it put into your book, even if they could have done a lot more with it.

From a collector's perspective, there are mounts, vanity pets, BoA items, and more to be able to keep or trade to your alts.

All in all, what matters is what you're expecting from it.

Doing archaeology just to obtain one specific item will make you want to tear your hair out, it is a RNG nightmare. And there's nothing there that can't be easily replaced these days, so the combat gear bits are fun perqs, but not really anything worth grinding for. But, there are a ton of fun vanity items you can get, the keystones can often be sold for decent gold, and it's a good way to kill time. So yeah, it just depends on what you're after.
